Recent updates on water levels for Merced River Rafting, just west of the famous Yosemite National Park, indicate a shorter then normal season because of smaller snow pack this past winter.
Usually the mighty Merced River rated a Class IV+ river difficulty level runs well into June. But with reduced 2007 winter snowpack, one of California’s best rivers for rafting will come to a halt late May.
Whitewater Excitement is still taking reservations and running 1 to 2-day trips on the Merced River on weekends through May 28, 2007. Based on demand, some weekday trips may be added.
If you have ever thought about running the wild and scenic Merced river, do it now because you only have 3 weeks left and spaces are filling up.
Plus if you are a group of 6, or Whitewater Excitement alumni, you can save up to $339 with our “Get to Know Us River Rafting Specials”
Look for a special American River Rafting Podcast on the Merced later this week.
